Aoife Casey
Aoife Casey is an Irish photographer graduated in Fine Arts from NCAD- National College of Art and Design. She has exhibited and published her work internationally, primarily in Ireland, Australia, South Korea and Spain.
Aoife’s practice is rooted in history, memory, storytelling, and the natural world. She is drawn to overlooked narratives—particularly those of women—and seek to create space for beauty, strength, and resilience to be seen and felt. Storytelling is central to this process: it allows fragments of the past to be reassembled, carried forward, and reimagined in ways that deepen our sense of connection. Series such as Mná na Saoirse honor the Irish women of the Easter Rising, celebrating their conviction while acknowledging the sacrifices that shaped our freedoms. Other works, like my father-and-son Wishes For My Son project photographed on her family’s land in Bantry,West Cork weave together personal history, poetry, and landscape to reflect on heritage, belonging, and the stories we inherit.
